Where this comes from
Nothing on this page is fetched from the internet. My station (KO6HXC, Northern California) receives the National Weather Service's EMWIN text and chart broadcast straight off GOES-18's radio downlink with a dish and a software-defined radio, then filters it to my own forecast zones.
The observations are from the Sacramento office's regional roundup — Lincoln is the reporting station at my location. The charts are national or regional products that happen to include northern California; none of them is centred here, and each one is labelled with how old it is, because they refresh at wildly different rates.
